Hail-lelujah

I love storms.

Period.

Storms remind me of home...they are comfortable.

I always hope the power will go out...every time.

Puddles also bring joy to my heart.

So, naturally, this morning when I was awakened by the sound of a torrential downpour I was practically giddy. It was dark, windy and deliciously rainy. And, like I had done the night before, I tore open the blinds just to watch its awesomeness. However, to add extra Umph! to last night's storm, they threw in a touch of hail...no extra charge. Now, giant hail might strike worry or anger into the hearts of most, but not me...I like the sound it makes. And thanks to the great holiday weekend...alright, and the unemployment extravaganza...I was able to chill in my sweats with some delish zucchini chocolate-chip bread and enjoy.

Unfortunately, the storms at home right now, well, they suck. Gustav has been sounding a little too familiar lately and that's no bueno. Luckily though, Gustav, like many males with over-inflated egos, didn't quite live up to the hype. Here's to hoping he stays that way.

Anyone else loving the odd change of climate?

I am absolutely loving the fall over night weather. I just want it to rain more! It felt like home for me when it was pouring too!
