The tire store near my home is having a BIG sale. To attract customers they thought a pyramid of tires would do the trick. Thing is, they're real, ready-to-use tires...new stickers and everything.
As I was walking home, past their display, I thought "I wonder how far I could get with one of these tires before someone notices?"
I figured I would grab one near the base, not in the base (that would cause a cataclysmic downpour of tires), and just casually continue on. Since it's right next to a busy street and highway I was sure passing motorists would think me a funny sight.
Then I thought of the employees reaction of "Hey does that girl have one of our tires? Where's she going? Did she pay for that? What do we do? How do ask for the return of a solitary tire from a person without a car?" Surely they would later have a laugh (after I returned the tire, of course).
The visual I had of me grabbing one and speed-walking away as absent-minded employees bumbled after me, sent me into a fit of giggles (almost.). Then I suddenly realized it was highly unlikely that anyone else would find this amusing and that what I just acted out in my head was an actual crime. One that could potentially feature cops, and Inner Circle's hit song "Bad Boys"...and a horrible life with someone named Slim in cell block 9.
I fear I have an overactive imagination...and am rapidly losing touch with reality.

I know you wanted to go the slumber party at the new jail but if you got there this way it might not be exactly what you had hoped for. (Talk with the store owner maybe you can make a youtube video and not get the police involved)
No I will do no such thing. The greatness of the idea was in the spontaneity of it all. Planning + Permission = lame.
